We pride ourselves on our CLEAN and TIDY approach to all services. All excess dirt and sand is removed from site, surrounding surfaces washed off and windows/doors cleaned once rotary jet cleaning is complete. Read our customer testimonials or send us your feedback.

NOTE: Cleaning process may loosen old or weak joints between slabs (depending on age and strength of mix used). Cleaning process DOES NOT disturb foundations leading to sinking or dipping unlike traditional lance systems due to rotary technology. J & M Shaw can offer a re-jointing service if required, advice will be given on condition of joints prior to cleaning.

Extra Treatments

J & M Shaw provide a weed suppressant treatment for all hard surfaces. Applied after deep cleaning and prior to re-sanding, our treatment not only kills weeds beneath the surface but keeps them at bay for up to 6 months (depending on area/conditions). Our weed suppressant is a sodium chlorate based formula for use on hard surfaces only, applied with a direct pressure sprayer after the cleaning process to prolong the condition of the surface. Our treatment leaves no surface residue unlike standard weed killers. J & M Shaw offer repeat treatments and recommend treating cleaned surfaces every 2-3 months.

We can also clean stubborn stains which may require special treatment to be removed. Oil stains which can't be fully removed by the flat surface cleaning process can be treated with an oil remover, although complete removal of the stain can not always be guaranteed. Chewing gum is easily removed by spot cleaning with the turbo lance, using no chemicals. Graffiti can be removed using our 12" rotary wall cleaner. We also offer a re-jointing service for slabs and patios once cleaned (if applicable).

        

If there is a presence of efflorescence or 'lime bloom' on the surface of the block paving, the application of an efflorescence remover may be needed. 'Lime bloom' is a natural occurring phenomenon shown as a white 'chalky' residue on the surface of clay and concrete paving blocks. Caused by lime released from within the paver this can affect both newly laid and established block paving. Our flat surface cleaning process can help to remove 'lime bloom', although complete removal can not be achieved in all cases. Efflorescence must be fully removed prior to sealing a surface. An efflorescence remover not only fully removes 'lime bloom' from the surface but prevents future re-occurrence.

UPVC fascia's and fittings look great when newly fitted, but after time due to bad weather and direct sunlight, they may become stained or faded. This can be prevented by cleaning the fascia board regularly. J & M Shaw offer a fascia and guttering cleaning service to get to those hard to reach places.
